Updates on rafting pic!

I'm back from BAA-LLI.
4th - 8th feb 2010!
a trip to overseas with people i know for a ~~day~~ length of a dinner (Lionel, Jiayi, Sabrina, Weibin) and some who i do not know at all (moon, sun and jorene)
but it was still fun after all with this group of friends.

I always thought bali people are nice and innocent, but....
and i thought the beach is good.. but.....
sore throat + flu during the trip..

4th feb
flight is at 1645 with Jiayi, Sabrina, Sun, Jorene, Moon, guys arrive on 5th feb
taking air asia, they changed our return flight time from 0935 to 0700! sucks.
first time taking budget airline, not bad afterall, only that the wall got some ketchup stick onto it. eww.

arrive at bali, when step out, those money changers were touting.
we kena tok by the taxi drivers to the hotel, they charged us 75,000 rupiah to hotel.
fyi i change S$1 for 6500 rupiah.
the journey is only 5-7 mins to hotel. Small road some more,

due to me and jia yi couldnt book the hotel together with them, we book the hotel separately,
a rather dissappointing hotel called Ida Hotel.
we arrive at night, the ambience is eerie, room is old! cupboard is yellowish, drawer handle drop off, and a square box TV with no international channels.
except the balcony is relaxing

though it looks good, but the taste so so.

and we proceed to chill at a club, with MANY MANY ANG MOHS
a club with NO AIR CON, FANS ONLY.
the temperature outside is cooler than inside.
their drinks are strong, i got sore throat after that

me and jiayi cab back to our hotel, kena tok again 30,000 rupiah which is only a walking distance.

5th feb,
free and easy day, because the guys had not arrive yet.
went shopping, but their shops are like duplicated.
if you shop at this shop, you can find everything at the next shop.
basically nth much to buy for me. bought a man singlet

want to buy a sandal, but they just die die dont want to let go at 60,000 rupiah.

at night we went to body massage and pedicure
shiok! and cheap.

and off to club, but they charge us cover charge. sabrina say they did not pay, so we went to refund. pek chek, then they dont allow us to go in anymore.
ang mohs all dun need to pay! so racist.

6th feb
we check out from our super vintage hotel in the morning, and go check in to the hotel they stay.
compare and contrast, THIS IS A CALL A HOTEL MAN!

the activities are to sightsee.
8 people had to squeeze in a small car.
first to see the volcano,

i dont know the name for the volcano, the air up there is cold! damn shiok

the driver bring us to go drink Luwak Coffee, believe to be their feces.
Sun love it. LOL
taste the same to me.

we went to the royal palace, rice terraces, and skip some destination to go tanah lot to see sunset
found this corn seller. 5,000 rupiah each.
TASTE SUPER GOOD!!! they have spicy, salty and sweet flavor,
technology is so advance, they just the fan to fan the fire.

unfortunately no sunset to see. =(

7th feb.
oversleep.but still in time.

We went for WATER RAFTING!!!!!
THE ONLY FUN THING FOR MY BALI TRIP

when we were dry

bumpy car ride and had to walk down super steep steps to reach the river.
by the time we reach the river my feet are already numb liao.....

our nice instructor! he paddle for the four of us, and we just rest.
he is Bang Bang Tang's Elmo look a like!

we raft for about 2 plus hours, and we sat in our rafting boat and jump off from a 4m dam.

I almost fall into the river when the boat hit one of the rocks, half body already outside the rafting boat, XIA SI WO LE..!!!

we came back, went to the beach, then club and chill again until 4am
and our flight is 7am! totally deprive of sleep.

8th feb.

I AM GLAD THAT I AM HOME!!!
no more people asking me to buy their expensive things .

i got a fake RayBan shades and fake fugly tattoo. (because i want to become Narsha-wanna-be but fail! her star is smaller and more in shape)
totally regret. cannot erase off! i seriously need help on how to remove this!

awwww.. my honeymoon, my training has ended yesterday. feel kind of emo too.
because we have really go through all the trainings, 8 tests, deployment test,e-learning, lunch, dinner, mrt,cabbing etc...

today is the "back to branch" day. so lonely to eat the lunch alone.

we celebrated our 2nd last day at Fish & co. glass house on tuesday,
in addition we also did a VERY EARLY birthday celebration for tracy, whose birthday falls on dec 9.
first time see people celebrating birthday in fish & co. well it was fun, she had to stand on the chair and everyone on the house sang birthday song for her, althought it is not her birthday that day.
unforgettable birthday indeed.
and i finished the WHOLE JUNGLE FREEZE by myself!!! *PROUD*

and yesterday the last day, we had deployment test and uniform measurement.
heard from doreen, our trainer, our uniform cost more than $1000. WHAT!! but it doesnt look expensive to me.

I had always been dreaming of being an OL working in Raffles area.
Going for training at Raffles area sort of fulfill my dream.
Now i regretted.
1. My feets are numb everyday during the MRT ride from North to South.
2. It is the FIRST TIME in my life, I saw people actually REALLY use tissue paper to reserve seats.
3. Food are expensive over there except the hawker at Golden Shoe CP.

I have 8 tests (75%) and 1 deployment test (80%) to pass,6 more elearning quizzes....,
so that i can be their employee.

his birthday is always during F1 period.

i was there last year!!
this year, 2nd bro bought padang ticket. wanted to go for saturday qualifying round, but i'm kind to fulfill eldest bro wish, to let him and his gf go together. his birthday present.
i guess next year they wont buy the tickets anymore, because of my mom's nagging.
she said,"so interesting meh?? vroom vroom vroom, so noisy."

and ytd, we went Shangri-La's Shang Palace for the second time.
this timeto celebrate bro's birthday, and also to make full use some of my father's money. he won Malaysia's Magnum 4d. really a gambler =)

the interesting "chinese-divination-look-a-like" bamboo container with different varieties of tea.

i remember that time i went to shanghai's shangri-la for dim sum also! a pot of pu-er is only 88rmb. think of it, shanghai's is so cheap. and buffet some more.
and the difference with the china-ware.

last week was a disappointing week.

Firstly, previously we spent at Watami, and got some cash back vouchers. I had been looking forward to eat their Seafood pizza. Unfortunately, it turn out to be East Cost Pizza. ( i think i am so innovative! - means not very fresh la. haha) Because the taste totally....eeww.. could not find back the seafood taste. and tomato turns SOUR. i know tomato is sour, but is that kind of SOUR. So disappointing. so jacq made a complain, they say it was due to change of recipe.

Secondly, if you know the latest commercial for hair dyeing product, liese. I was introduced to this product by emily and jacq. so i happily went to buy, and use it. the ammonia smells super strong.
you wont believe i use a mask and put some fragance fabrics/cloth in side the mask. and i could still smell the ammonia.
and i did not use finish the whole solution. first day the result is good, but now the color fades and is no longer Glossy Brown. =( lesson learnt, use finish the bottle of solution. and massage!

shocked! so the lady i saw from far was her!

Her name is Liu Yu Yan. It was one of the "Tian Long Ba Bu"'s character name.

her name is hard to write. and ya, yellow teacher teaches chinese, and so her daughter's name is VERY UNIQUE! and she got no Christian name.

she is 2 months old now, look kind of "big size"???
but when i dig out my 2 mth old photo, dated 12/04/89.
and i look BIGGER than her.

She got the potential to be a artiste, because her eyes will follow where the camera goes.

her toes are cute!

A Call to Starhub for dispute.

I always thought starhub is quite efficient, because in the past whenever i had problem(TV), i just call them and they will reset their system there, and i am able to view.

But today, super disappointing. thinking back those customers that pi (phone in = the short form we use! haha), now i am in their shoe.

Last saturday, we went to Vivo to change our set up box to Hubstation Set Up box, because we want to record shows. We can watch some shows we missed within 7 days(their web put FREE) however it was chargable =( the CSO could not ans me this ques, and not willing to transfer me to cable tv side, as they got high queue call.
So he checked for me, and he said it is CHARGABLE!
what?! i told him i read from the website, it is free.
and his reply was, "m'am, since you say it is free, of course you will think it is free"
*SHOCKED* he meant that i am dreaming for free items. =(

We also did a recontract, and the plan entitle us for free Star Movie Channel. It was able to view ytd, but not today. So i ask the CSO, how come I am not able to view Ch58, He said i did not subscribe to it, THEN YTD WHAT WAS I WATCHING? He checked and checked and checked, could not give me and answer. so ask me to fax the sales agreement to him. so he can activate the channel.

OH! and he said his name so fast that i could not catch, so i delibrately, ask him to spell one letter by one letter out SLOWLY.

Seems like starhub is going to be like singtel, the order takers always had stamp on their eyes, could not see properly. I hope the Bill that comes out next month will be fine.

Anyway, please read for leisure, because i was real bored at home, i just need some channel to complain.

I am a virus kid.

Why I kept falling sick!???
and fall sick in the wrong time.. tsk.
I wish someone invent a Vaccuum Coughing Bag.
so that i can cough into the bag as loud as i could, NO ONE CAN HEAR ME!
and also a micro air purifier attached to my nostril. so that no dust can get in, the temperature i breath is always constant. and i wont sneeze.

UPDATES:
a day out with gfs on tuesday.
which was also my "first" day for school.
karen and i were SHOCKED by the piles of notes. about 800-900 sheet of paper.
Imagine i had to carry it the whole day at ION. Torture to me!
both of my arms ached for 2 days. T_T

Anyway it was my first time there.
Shopping experience was not bad, one stop shopping mall
But the structure is confusing. will get lost some how if i go again alone.

MISS HON RECOMMENDS TIME:

had dinner @ Watami.
because we misread their promo. thought that there was 50% discount for whole bill, however once we are seated, and the waitress told us that it was not. they only give u a cash back voucher. means we will go back again!
Recommend the Seafood Pizza!! and the hot plate Corn with Bacon.
Price is cheap and affordable.
we order lots but only the two i mention is nice.

Not to forget a bakery in B4, starts with P, as seen in pic 4!
the chocolate bun is SUPERB!!! definitely must buy!!!
i saw a girl buying about 20 of that buns. so you can imagine is it really good!!!
hoho, and Royce's chocolate potato chips!. chilli padi bought one!! NICE!!! $15 reasonable.
could also buy a box of milk choco or bitter choco, i think there is about 30-40 in a box for $15?
my ex colleague bought it and it taste good!

because starbucks is SO PACKED, and i bet no one else can find Coffee Bean as it is located at the outskirt of Ion. and it is quiet!!

1. I had gotten my wallet. not very satisfied. okay 50% satisfied.

2. My last day at Singtel is unforgettable,
(because jacq REALLY go and ask the cute guy to write some words for me. damn paiseh.)

3. School had already started. And I AM UNDER PRIVATE.
(dont even want to mention the school, because it is damn cui. At times, Door Bitches will camp at the entrance. As for their attendance system, needless to say, CUI~)

4. Exam is in 2 weeks time (HONG GAN!!!)

5. Official school is starting next week. (just have to wait for 2 more years)

6. Bought Guitar Hero, Guitar only from Malaysia. (wheee. but bored after playing for 4 days, because medium is hard for me)

7. Lastly, I am starting to SAVE! =)

thurs took a urgent leave to see my physiotherapist. and finally i was discharged!
according to the news, the swine flu alert had already rise to Orange zone.
hence when i was at the medical centre, they took my temperature, but still so anyhow,
did not even measure properly.

Friday, its Labor Day!
i was having sore throat to flu and cough from tuesday onwards, finally tahan till friday, and went to Raffles Medical to see doctor. total cost me $47.15, which is 2 times the cost as compared to the Peace Clinic next to my block. Luckily the sissy doctor gave me an MC. YAY.
It is only when i prompt him, then he gave.
I asked if the medication will cause drowsiness.
He said, since you will be staying at home right.
I said, i have to work tommorrow (Saturday).
He asked, where are u working? ME : Serangoon!
He said, its okay i will give u a MC for tommorrow, by the time you will be 50% recovered, and by sunday will by 90% recovered.
I added on SINCERELY, ya...i hope so.. (sounds like i wanna work so hard)
He said, dont worry so much, because you did not went overseas.
and we started to chat on Swine Flu.
WENT OUT THE ROOM, SMILING. =) and the moment i went out, my mum knows the doc gave me an MC.
YAY. the 47.15 is worth!, as the antiboctics is much more nicer to swallow than the PEACE CLINIC located downstairs.

Sat, MC managed to cover me from work today!
I received my SIM reply!! but i dont know what to do with the letters and document.

Sunday will be another day at home,

went to play badminton with kf and ly, and her nephew.
i realise we didnt take photo with her nephew!

that day was SUPER HOT!!!! and ly house there got wind!!

after that went to have dinner, heard my dad say his friend, uncle zhang, is treating us for dinner. but no idea where.

and heard that we are heading to SENTOSA!!!
so excited!!!! , but i was sweaty and smelly after badminton.

OH i remember few years back, we are in that place (Silver Shell Cafe) eating oyster!!!

and Saturday we were back again, but it was at Barnacles, with sea view.

really chilli crab taste, goes super well with bread!!

i guess it is call Seafood Platter on Ice? it is damn big!

but the taste for 2 years ago is better!

we had half a lobster oven bake with fried rice! SHIOK

cook by their uncle, taste really good!!!

and the pincher is BIG.

other dishes like Chilli Crab, Black Pepper Crab, and this Super BIG prawn.

we are all super Bloated after the seafood, but we still can give some space for desserts.
specially make by their uncles!

and this molten chocolate cake with the Vanilla ice cream.
the ice cream taste good, very vanilla and a bit of banana taste.

i notice one ang moh saw us eating the Seafood Platter, his eyes is like popping out. HAHAHA.

so happy that it was a public holiday!
the girls plan to play badminton near my house there, but it started to rain.
yay. so they came over to my house for Wii, and not so much of mahjong and monopoly. and the main objective is to play badminton and eat Hakka Lei Cha, i'm a HAKKA!

the wii has not been "touched" for quite a long time, because i get bored by the games. thanks to them for making my wii "revive".

they play cooking mama, dancing with the stars, high school musical and wii sports. their favourite is... BOXING.

today sitting beside me is a christian auntie.
so.... first she shared with me jesus. share with me chinese words and the relation with jesus.
1. chinese, hua ren (華人) has 7 cross. *i dont know how she count* so she added, god is so amazing. chinese people have 7 cross.......blah blah.....7 is actually a very good number. (why? can someone tell me please) she also share lots of words la, like shi jie (world) shi has 3 cross.. blah blah blah...
2. secondly, she say actually jesus is from the east you know. [because of those link with chinese words.] (in mind : erm. i thought jesus is an ang moh? he surely from west. somemore the mother name is mary. chinese call ma li? oops!)
3. she ask me, whether i am i christian. i am not, (wanted to tell her i acutally buddhist, but she is a senior lady, older than my parents, quite rude to say that.) she ask me to go for church! she sounds so excited, "GO GO! YOU SHOULD GO!!". she added on, when cust make me angry, i will sing prayers *then she show me*, later i go through with you.
4. okay i believe there is jesus (since so many people are worshiping him), but what one will have sin must believe in jesus then your sin will be cleared, so not to go hell...... i think &^$&!^@$!@. everyone will go hell!!!, whether which floor i dont know <---- according to peishanity. =)

although she share those jesus christ things with me which i felt is boring, but there is one interesting issue i want to share!
she say we cannot be arrogant (自大)

when she ask me to go church, at that moment, i thought, haiyah.....another typical singaporean christian. felt that only christian in sg are like that. dont know why like pull another freethinker/other religion in to christianity like can earn commission like that. i dont see overseas christian are so enthu. (maybe i never been overseas, i dont know. make a guessing only) okay i know jesus is GREAT. because he is the god what.
******who knows! maybe next time in future i will be a christian also. pulling you guys to church again! and i will tell you whether there is commission or not la (like live longer?) =)

first day there is training, and shocked to see more guys than girls doing customer service.
basically, my job is to pick up calls and settle angry customers.

2nd day of work, my buddy ask me to try picking up call. oh my god.
i keep asking the customers to wait and eventually he waited too long and the line cut off.
and then 2nd customer is a chinese, so weird to speak in mandarin (since i left china for so long)

oh man, monday there is roleplay. i know nuts about their software and system.

really hei pi NIU year!

i think i pass my NAPFA test. omg. it is such a tough test, and i have to bear the pain through out the CNY.
my legs, my arms, my WHOLE BODY, machiam kena soaked in Lemon Juice, SUAN LIKE WHAT!!! sat morning was the worst! getting up from bed is so tiring.

sunday went back to malaysia to have reunion dinner at restaurant.
we won a hamper and RM88. good start for CNY.
plus that night was raining, water = fortune! woohoo.
when it was 12am, everyone starts firework-ing including our HON family. lol
but still ours is the best one, other rich family can afford to blast a BIG one like fireworks festival kind.

UNFORTUNATELY, we encounter an unlucky moment.
we were setting the firecrackers, because it was too long, and half way the POLICE came, tsk
as you know, malaysian police... ( YOU KNOW LA~~ $_$ )
they didnt even get down from the car, my father still have to hold umbrella and went up to them. and there goes RM50.

according to the channel 8 show, goat people will encounter financial loss this year, and the ZHUN thing is, few minute pass Ox year, he immediately loss money! HAHAHHA.
AYER. dragon dont seems good this year, but SNAKE is good!!

last friday,
hp and pb and i went to marina square.

and we went to MOF.
while queuing with hp, then i was telling her, what mom said the day before.
mom said that pb suits long hair!. then hp told me, " YOU DIDNT KNOW SHE CUT HER HAIR SHORT?!!"

after queuing for 20 mins, finally we can get in.
and COMPLAIN TIME.
firstly, we want to order our food, then the waitress said,"sorry, i cannot take order"
why do you want to embarrass yourself.
secondly, we want more syrup for ice-cream. and a supervisor look-a-like flippino asked, "what is this?" take it up and see.
HELLO?!!! how am i suppose to know?!!!
lastly, a waitress who act like a ghost, come to you with bill, and never even say excuse me or thank you, then walk away.

OLYMPIC MONTH

everybody saw what happen on sunday night, Singapore lose to China.
and my fellow malaysian, lee chong wei also lose to lin dan.
end up only a silver medal which means...

i had tried the McGriddle, and it is quite nice.

and ytd a welcome dinner at Waraku at Central with my family.
cream cheese udon. ohh. thumbs up!
and because it is my 2nd bro paying, so my big bro decide to order uni sashimi. lol!

yea people i'm back.

the hotel car send me to Jinan Airport. yes. it is the damn OLD car. like any moment will breakdown.

i spend a total of 800RMB for excess luggage fee. =(

and........i almost missed my flight to singapore..
the boarding time says 6.40pm. and i enter the checking area at 6.40, phew.
i was the second last one, the last person save me!

i ate prata ytd night right after i arrived in singapore.
i ate laksa today, and i am going to meet the girls in 2 hours time.

friday was my last day of work!

yeap, i really go and chop seats in the activity room to watch opening ceremony. waaa.. damn good la. bet you all did watch too. then at 9.55 went to work, you must be thinking i cant watch finish right. but no, lobby got television, instead we stand in front of the television to watch. HAHA
that night, the road outside is quite quiet, but places got television are noisy, like Macdonald.
watch finish the whole program with a long stay guest - Demoss, who is guessing who is the last person to light the torch.
and it is li-ning. Anything is possible.
wonder if he lights the torch, will his business do even better?

my last working day is damn shiok. deliberately, i was doing nothing, concierge people bought instant noodle, so i ate one, and sleep for 2 hours till 6am, and get ready to go back to room. marks my end of attachment.

and night time went to watch movie with carmen and zhenshun. watch 10quan9mei, it is a chinese comedy. SUPER FUNNY. then go Cinderella, another clubbing place..yay. go back can go phuture already. hurhurhur. the DJ dont even have the songs we want. -_-"

today will be my LAST night in JINAN. my luggages are heavy! i think tml i will have to pay LOTS AND LOTS of excess luggage fee. boohoo. my ipod, psp,laptop,phone all fully charged. in case i get bored while waiting for flight. oh mann, i cant wait to eat the food on plane again!

this week is at Front Desk.

the days in front desk is EXTREMELY MISERABLE......
it seems like no matter where i am standing, i am just very extra. and like blocking them.
also learn nothing from them. only can see how they doing checking in and out. and a bit of difference from what justin pang had taught us in school and OPERA!.

today, the chairman of Taishan Sports(olympic official sports supplier), Bian Zhi Liang, came today with his torch!!!!!
he is one of the participant in the torch relay in Jinan.
can go google him, he is quite a nice man though he is RICH!
his ear lob is WOW. damn BIG! and thick!
his big stomach that he keep mentioning it. also really damn big.resembles my father's one. HAHAHA
for the first time i see the torch in real life.
the GM also came down just to take picture with the torch. wert.......-___-
wonder if he needs a god daughter or daughter-in-law.

and today Allen the FO manager is the Manager On Duty, he is so kind to bring me to spot check the rooms, as i am rotting at the front desk. checking each and every single things in the room. from door lock, to maggie mee and the SOS alarm. damn fun to press the SOS button. now i know how tough to be MOD, but got a free room to stay at night, that's the good thing about it!

maybe..i will be taking the flight alone.
cause zhenshun planning to stay for another month.

because the outlet opp hotel, their service SUCKS.

then the girl gave me my choc sundae. but it turn out to be Mocha Sundae.
so i went back and ask to change.
she insist it is chocolate, she even tasted it please!

i think i am quite a lucky girl, as for up to now.(hope i could go lucky forever)
for eg. the missing wallet incident.

and i am very lucky to have a OIAP partner, who do all the stuff (Multimedia Project, Request for cross-train). and i actually do nth at all. =X

very lucky to have a good teacher.
saying my teacher.... she is also a damn lucky girl.
she told me the first 3 months, she is very low profile, and my supervisor Cassy, dont even know there is such person exist.
but then she was chosen to be waitress at the japanese corner, where all the Department Head and GM will dine there. and i realise GM also kind of like to talk to her.
recently, there is a personnel status change. i think my teacher will be promoted as a captain. =)
and she only work for 1 and half year. those OLD BIRDs who work for 5 years are still carrying tray. =\

yes, i am lucky to have such teacher.
because of her, my upselling incentive for first 2 months are very good. and Director praise me for that, but i told him is my teacher splited it. first month, 140RMB, second month 200RMB
but now, this month - June. i only sell 3 steaks. 22RMB only. omo.

DAY 2 in shanghai

leechiu and nicholas lim brought us to 小杨生煎 along wu jiang lu.
they sell 煎包!! and 酸辣粉
omg. the baos are damn good!
like xiao long bao, and i swear it is better than xiao long bao.
the skin is crispy, alot of meat inside and juice as well!
1 for 1RMB, quite ex.

and then bring us to Tao Bao Cheng.淘宝城
where sell alot DAMN ALOT of A stuff.
fake prada,lv,D&G,fred perry.................coach......

after that when to Lu jia zui 陆家嘴 station to meet my fellow harris!
lu jia zui is at Pudong,

the front builing is Jin Mao Building, it is one of the world tallest building. rank like number 4?

and yeap, harris brought us to tour the shangri-la

damn shiok leh. they got 12 outlets and they changed one every fortnightly.

dim sum buffet at PUDONG SHANGRI-LA, Gui Hua Lou !
my parents back in singapore, always say want to bring me to shangri-la(Orchard) to eat dim sum, but always fail.
now i can show off to them i went to shangri-la in SHANGHAI to eat dim sum!

complimentary pu-er tea(about 88RMB per pot?) by their manager.
i like pu-er tea! =)

thanks to them, if not our shanghai trip is damn bored.
and no place to stay.

after the dim sum session, melydia came to join us and we took ferry back to pu xi.
took the cheap ferry..

last day!
everybody is working.
so we went to the museum ourselves.

i miss lai fu shi so badly,

because their Basement one is really like in singapore.

meet harris and melydia again for last dinner at curry house.
and we are ready to head back to Jinan!

left the hotel at 8. then on the way got a little jam.

estimated to reach shanghai at 6.03am

we are in cabin 2, then when we walked down the stairs, it is cabin 13.

the train is 卧铺 kind of train
and ours is at the 上铺.
at first i thought it is only up and down.

just now went to sing k again.

but just now one, is organised by our restaurant.

but the hottest topic in town here is earthquake.

althought already happen for a week, but....
ytd and up to tml (19-21may)
it is China National Mourning Day.
all entertainment places have to be closed in this few days.
like those internet cafe, cinema,....etc
our restaurant has got no background music this couple of days.

ytd i was in KFC, and it is 2.28pm, the KFC pple anounce and asked us to stand up to mourn for 3 minutes.
heard that at outside, the vehicle also stop down for awhile.

went to Quan Cheng Square and publics are lighting up candle, in to heart shape and also the number 5-12

and lots of donation issue, about who who who has donated how much..
eg. andy lau donated how much...blah blah blah
we also need to donate. and the stupid thing is..they have a MINIMUM AMOUNT 30RMB.
donation no need to have such things as minimum.
donation boxes by students. and i got a little china flag after donating.

PHEW! FINALLY.. IT IS MY OFF DAY TODAY!

my schedule last week is like off on monday and tuesday.
then this week it is off on sat and sun.
but i changed a shift with one colleague, i got off on thurs. but have to go OT in VIP room...
result in no off.

the OT in VIP room.
GM and EAM(executive assistant manager) and those Sales dept people invited some other people for dinner.
and i was the one serving.
at first i dont know who i am going to serve. then until they arrive, the EAM changes his place with Director of Room. and he is one of them i'm going to serve.
(you might think that it is tough serving him)
but no!
he is very friendly, he is a new EAM. he is a from Tsing Tao. SODA WATER IS HIS FAVOURITE DRINK. HAHAHHAA
i'm serving 4 people out of 28 people.
so EAM is one of them, and a lady from sales dept and two other outsiders.
damn. the lady from sales dept. act like so BIG. stuck-up!

that day the costume we wore is the captain and supervisor that kind of work attire.
waa..the moment i put it on, it is so comfortable.
because the material is better than mine.
after the entire thing is over i dont bear to take it off.

and on friday night after work,

we just went to KTV like that, SO ON!

initially we couldnt find the cheap one, because ah du lead us wrongly.
walk for like damn long and finally found one.
the price is 80RMB nett. can sing until 6am.
we started like 1 plus.
but really, the sound proof is lousier than KBOX i must say.
their ktv can make cheering noise

due to some have morning shift and I AM WORKING THE 6AM SHIFT!
we left at 5.15am!!!
DAMN CRAZY. go to work just like that.
my eyes are like going to close around 8am.
but still TAHAN until 4pm.

i think this is the craziest thing i have done.
and the other one is the clubbing experience. went home to sleep for 4 hours and it is time for presentation.

the 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Sichuan on monday.

i didnt feel any tremor because i was working. and keep walking around.
but my teacher, she has to do some office work, she said she could felt the tremor and the mouse is moving by itself.
the earthquake is so POWERFUL. like more than 15,000 died already.
read the straits time, and thailand also could feel the tremor.

and beijing also have a tremor with magnitude of 3.9 (straits time)
i sms-ed kean at night, and he said he keep feeling tremor.
ayer. but i didnt feel anything.
sms-ed my brother to tell them i am alright in that night also.
then next morning, mum only know that there is earthquake after she saw the newspaper. (so slow.)
not only mum called, sue tan also called. so nice of her. =)

the chinese are saying. why so many disaster in this olympic year.
first is the snow. second is the train. third is hand-foot-mouth disease. then the earthquake.

damn. on monday my teeth and gum and the cheek are swollen. cannot eat properly.
and that night, fucking pain until i couldnt sleep. sigh.
they asked me to go see dentist. BUT!! I TRUST NONE!
how i wish i was back in SG, so that i can go see my dentist in Sunshine Dental. hehe

SPRING OUTING AGAIN!

why again?
because supervisor 高勇 aka 三哥 doesnt wan to go.
he want to go to climb Mountain Tai with the banquet colleagues.
so he let me go! no need to pay 20RMB!
YAY.

this time the spring outing to another place. which i had mention in previous post.
the more FUN one!
and the bus trip is shorter this time. less than 1 hour

it is time to CLIMB

actually there is a no need to cross this "Bridge"

but for the sake of fun. i crossed it.
and over at the end.. my leg became abit jelly.

and we can take a short cut, but dont know is which smart one, bring up go up the hill and and walk those hill path and i got cut by the torns on the tree

and i was working in the restaurant. if not i will go down to the lobby and wait for him with his fans. tsk. i was still wondering if he will come down and dine. because in yu le bai fen bai he is like... like to 感受his superstars that kind of people.
AND THEN.
my room mate who is working in the front desk, saw him.
aish! but she cannot leave her working area. if not she can get signature or TOUCH him and something like that.
while another one, she is in room service. sending fruits to guest.
so she was assigned to 1152 room. she didnt know it was his room at first. but after she sent the fruits. then other colleagues ask her if she saw him. WAA..WASTED..SHE DIDNT SEE HIM AT ALL. because it is a suite.

on the 25th april. went to 春游. some spring outing.

went to some waterfall place.
took 3 hours to reach there.
and took 3 hours to came back.
only spend like 3 hours at the destination.
WTF. the trip is like mainly on bus la.
and the fucking bus driver. press the honk like nobody business.
just because in front got vehicle block him on the expressway. he honk them away one by one.

yes. the bus left the hotel at 6.50. and the sun is already so high.
actually. in 5am the sun already rise already.
there was once i need to work at 6am. but i set alarm wrongly to pm.
then i woke up at 5.55am. i thot it is already 7. SCARED ME SIAL.
hehe

then on the way. there is roadblock. then the bus have to detour.
MACHIAM AMAZING RACE. the road is so uneven somemore.
and meet ah mahs and ah gongs carrying sedan.

the bus still have to drive up the moutains go into tunnels.
and finally reach the place. but stil have to walk inside to see the waterfall.

there it is. the whole trip is like. NOT FUN AT ALL.
damn. because we say it is not fun. the second group's destination is changed to another MORE INTERESTING PLACE. =\

on that same day. it was Sahimi's birthday.
so we went out to have dinner, together with his colleague in the Lobby Lounge.
cab to the restaurant, and eat...and drink of course. BEER which is like water. =)
eat a lot of things. like dumplings, fish,..blah blah blah.
THEN AFTER EATING. THEY WERE DISCUSSING TO GO BAR OR CLUB.
YAY. AND THEY DECIDED TO GO CLUB.
after the dinner, we walked there which is near the restaurant.
AND WE ARE OFF TO CLUB 1+1!
i think Sahimi is a usual customer or he knows some bosses over there.
therefore we can go to the VIP area, which is sit down and listen to the band singing.
and one of them brought us to tour the club. waa. the music they play is all trans.
then the dancefloor is like spring bed.
you step in then u will go up and down.
the bad thing is that. chinese clubbers are like...WERT.
but overall it is still quite okay in the VIP area.
the band is great. because they are from philipines.
then Sahimi bought Dewar's Scotch Whisky. 580RMB ONLY!
the package is buy 1 get 1 free. and with 4 mixer.
the mixer is not in jug. but cans and bottles.
so it is 2 cans of coke and 2 small bottles of green tea.

the band is damn fun!

went to Banquet department to help out.
the hotel organise a Thanks Giving Party to those long stay guest, and important guests.
the theme this year is 上海滩.
everybody dressed up like that era kind of feel.
and the Scott William dressed up like the male leader in the drama.
oh! and a place to gamble. and AUTOMATIC WASHING MAHJONG TABLE.
MAHJONG LEH!!!
tsk. miss mahjonging.
started work at 12noon,
end work at 11pm. but of course got goodies, which is those leftover food.
but i don't find them extremely nice.

36th day in Jinan(FRIDAY 4 april)

today is 清明节. therefore there is a public holiday.
and i got PH off.
so went out again.
this time to the Botanic Garden.
it is admission free.
it is more like an amusement park than botanic garden.
because there is ferris wheel, thrilling rides., etc etc.
and of course it is cheap! cheaper than pasar malam.
i think the most expensive ride cost 3 SGD.

just now mom called.
as usual, she is such a gossip woman.
gossip with me what another auntie told her.
and tell me the selamat terrorist still havent been caught.
(i think even when i'm back in SG in august, the police are still catching him!)
and mom tell me rumors say that the police killed him and making a nuisance just to lure the other terriorist people out.
hahaha.
not forgetting, she always asked me to eat more fruits.
until she get to the food topic,
she will asked me again whether the 烤地瓜 is really that nice.
remind me to bring some good food back.

today is another big day.
because have dinner with Anthony Foo.
Anthony Foo is a Human Resource in-charge for IHG.
so, i am not sure if he is the whole of China or Asia.
anyway he is damn cool!

cooler than benny chung.
he is from malaysia super north part of peninsular malaysia.
then he failed his bahasa melayu. and he cannot get malaysian citizen thing.
so he worked in singapore for 5 years. from 1980 to 1985
wow.
then he went to australia. and i think he got a citizen there.
and so on.......he join IHG.

we have dinner with him in one of the sze chuan restaurant here.
he kept telling us to use the benefit as a Overseas-Born-Chinese, with the fact that our mandarin is not so good and we can speak english at the same time.
he then asked us to go MacDonald for Sundae.

there is somebody infront us. so we queued behind them.
but the cashier saw us and ask us to queue beside them, (because the cashier is thinking there is other people who might cut our queue.)
HAHA. we went beside the 2 customers. and then the cashier is still attending to the 2 of them.
giving them their change and all that.
but at that moment. mr anthony foo was not very happy. (because he told us, the cashier should have in mind that we came first. even if other customers cut our queue, she could have stop them from doing so)
and YES. mr anthony foo had a little quarrel with her.
quarrel until everybody is looking. and then he ask her to stop and he order 3 sundae from her politely.
at the same time turning back to us and speak a few sentence of english. (just to act foreign)
hahaha.
waa.. and after that, she became so polite. for eg. "you paid 100 dollars...82 dollars is your change. enjoy your meal thank you"

at first he said he wants to go back to the counter and give her trouble.
but then her uniform is like manager kind..
so end up he decided not to do so.
i can see that he likes to entertain himself by giving trouble to others.

on the 19th day. 18 March 08
it was raining man-made rain.
i heard from various people, they send ice cubes/some chemical up to the sky to make it rain.
as there is a sand storm in the north affecting Jinan now.
CHINA IS SO HIGH TECH. MUCH MORE HIGH TECH THAN SINGAPORE!
it was the 2nd time raining ever since i came.
so excited that i want to go out and have a look.
so went out with another 2 more friends.
one of them want to cut her fringe.

as you can see from the picture above, that is Jia Bei Bei holding the umbrella.

so once we walked out. OMG. it is SOOOO COOOLLLLDDD..
arrrghh.. it is the wind!!

so we walked around in the COLLD NIGHT searching for a cheap salon.
at that moment of time, when i talk, there is smoke.
(whats that call? smoke? fog? mist?)
the experience is damn shiok. but it is really cold.

so we found a salon in a street. kind of lousy as compared to the one i went.
obviously the price is SUPER different. =)

then..the 20th day. 19 March 08
it was the test. oh yes. and i failed..
crap. hate to study. come here still study. i got 81/100!!
although the passing mark is 90 or 95.
what if i fail all 3 times?? they nv say. so i dont know about it.

they brought me to the internet cafe/lan shop. which cost 2RMB per hour!
isnt that MUCH MUCH CHEAPER!!!!!

even though, the walls are pasted with signs saying "No Smoking"
but there is ash tray on the table. ridiculous

i stay in the internet cafe from 8 to 12am. can die pls.
i think i will suffer lung cancer soon.
it is rather for me to smoke than inhaling their smoke.

on the 13th day at Jinan.

i have OFF.
therefore, i went to cut my hair.
went to the nearest salon.
and that is under the hotel,
i checked out the prices, it is 30RMB to 60RMB.
so. it is VERY REASONABLE for me.

okay. i will tell you the procedure. =)
a guy washed my hair. i think for 5-10mins.
(but before that i already washed my hair)

i took a glance at my watch. 11.53.
he was so 细心 to research on my hair.
i think he research for 5-10 mins.
then start to cut.
half way through, he found a strand white hair!
he was so kind to pluck/cut it out and show me!!
WAAAA.. first time a stylist pluck/cut my white hair.
cut cut and blow blow.
it is almost done. he asked me if i want to wash my hair again.
(WAA.. so good. can wash again. never in my life.)
i rejected. if i washed again. it will be the 3rd time i wash my hair for that day.
and the cost is 30RMB! equals to 6 SGD
left the salon and take a look at the time again. it is 12.45
so the whole process took about 1 hour.
i think it is long?????

so after i cut my hair, some of the chinese here noticed it. and they ask....
where i cut, how much?
"30"
waa.. so expensive! is their response.
there is 15RMB ones!
wow. STUNNED. 3 SGD if i go to the 15RMB shop.
IT IS SOO CHEAP.
i remember i went to cut my hair during the CNY time.
it is at the FEP. cost 30SGD. wow. such a difference.

yesterday, 14 march.
after work, went to have dinner with Mr Benny Chung and his wife,
together with Sahimi and Zhenshun.
Mr Chung is the Executive Assistant Manager. i think it is only 1 or 2 rank below General Manager
he and his wife are from singapore too.
because they are leaving to 烟台.
went to one of the restaurant and eat dinner. and mr chung order 4 bottles of 青岛 beer.
one bottle each.
i got 1!!
omo. it is really smooth, like water.
3.1% only.
finished one whole bottle myself, and sahimi went to pay the bill and order another 4 more bottles.
and mr chung say he think i can drink another one more.
and here and there, i drank about 2 bottles of beer.
WOOO.. i miss VODKA REDBULL.
hurhur.

and the day before ytd. 13 march.
I ATE DONKEY MEAT.
it was a dinner with mrs chung and some restaurant staff.
because i happen to meet mrs chung randomly on street, so she asked me to join her.
and a very delicious dish, called 鱼香肉丝.
NICE! and delicious!!!

The 8th day in Jinan.

which is the last day of orientation,
(oh. and i msned kean. his company is Holiday Inn in Beijing. which is also under IHG. and his orientation is the same as mine! WINNING WAYS.)
kf : i bet you will have orientation soon as well.
=)
so after the orientation, the hotel prepare a High Tea at President Suite for us.
and also a met-up session with all the department head as well as the General Manager, Scotts Williams.
we are like V.I.P interns.
i think the hotel is doing well, we are supposed to visit one of the rooms in the hotel, to be more familiarize with it. However, due to the Hotel has 100% occupancy rate. we could not visit any rooms.
OCCUPANCY RATE!
i saw a lot of HBM things here. The hotel has an survey/feedback done by their guest. and also, the company calculate the RevPAR, ADR, Occupancy Rate.
i shall wrote on the interim report:
"please calculate out the MPI and RGI"

so after the orientation, went out with the New friends i met in the orientation class.
they came from an Tourism School.
so a huge group went to Quan Cheng Square.

this is the icon for Quan Cheng Square.
it is call Quan Biao. 泉标

basically, this Quan Cheng Square is SUPER BIG.
(if you wiki Jinan, you can see it. but China's firewall blocked me from WIKI, damn)
it is like from Orchard Mrt and walk towards Somerset Mrt.
so it is so big that, a lot of activities are carried out.
For example, roller blading with coach to teach them, and Kids learning Wu-Shu, Elderly dancing ,people playing badminton, and the most interesting thing is....

the guy was writing poem on the ground.
SO ART RIGHT?! I think china no need to promote what Art Tourism already.
the guy is using water to write on the floor.
at first i thought it was paint! because it looks so real like paint!
therefore, it will turn dry kind of fast.

i asked the chinese interns here, they say it is poem from Mao Zhe Dong.

The 9th day in Jinan

it is the first day of work.
SO TIRING.
my shift is 11am to 3pm. then 6pm to 10pm.
SPLIT SHIFT.
basically,today, i am a HIGH-CLASS WAITRESS.
because i was wearing different working attire from other waitresses.
i wear formal wear.
but do the same thing as them.
CLEAN PLATES, TURNOVER, REPLENISH CUTLERIES.
cleaning cutleries make me feel like i'm back to Cafe Cartel.
i love to clean cutleries!=)
i have a teacher with me. she is a nice girl. =)
and of course, the managers are "extreme"
the senior manager is nice! his name is Tom Sun.
he is the one who suggested, the singapore trainee can go to the restaurant to dine. F.O.C
talking about Tom. which is an English name.
the chinese over here kept asking, "你的英文名字是什么？"
so i will say.. i dont have any.
they are kind of shocked.
everybody in the hotel has an english name, because the hotel, or rather Human Resource Department gave them an english name.

i ate this. and it is nice! u can choose your side dish. which is fries,corn or salad.
good de zeh.

and then this is the movie ticket.

dear my childhood friends,
let me show you SHANDONG HUA SHEN.

it is kept inside plastic bag. and kept quite long already.
it just wont turn 漏风。
so i think you can imagine how dry it is here.
it is nice!!
